IASC Conference 2023 - Future Collective Actions

The Biennial IASC Conference held June 19-24, 2023, in Nairobi, Kenya was a landmark event featuring presentations and discussions on land management, common resources, and collective action. The conference brought together diverse stakeholders including government officials, academics, and community representatives.
Notable speakers included Dr. Boniface Kiteme introducing members of the joint organizing committee to Prime CS Hon. Musalia Mudavadi, and Dr. Sella Mukhobi encouraging delegates to participate fully in the discussions. A tree planting session was organized at the University of Nairobi with Prof. Stephen Kiama, Prof. Charles Schweik, Prof. Tobias Haller, and the joint organizing committee.
Prof. Dr. Tobias Haller from the Institute of Social Anthropology spoke during the conference. Dr. Caroline Ouko and Emma Odera from CETRAD were honored with certificates of excellence during the IASC Conference. Vice Chancellor of the University of Nairobi, Professor Stephen Kiama, made remarks during the official opening of the IASC Conference.
